Take a deep breath in the Quantock heathland
The Quantock heathland is very special, a rich and rare home for wildlife of national importance
Follow the waymarked trails at Staple plain which takes you from the car park to Beacon Hill to see some stunning views.
Park at Lydeard Hill car park and walk to Wills Neck, the highest point of the Quantocks.
Get hold of an Ordnance Survey Explorer 140 map, and plan your route from the many footpaths and bridleways.
Much of the Quantock heathland is Open Access, so you are free to roam on foot.
