Coast Horse Riding

Narrow lanes and rocky beaches

With a network of narrow lanes and pebbly or rocky beaches our coastline is not really very suitable for horse riding. Head inland for more suitable terrain.

Get hold of an Ordnance Survey Explorer 140 map, for a detailed look at the myriad of bridleways and restricted byways you can use.
There are car parks at Cothelstone Hill, Lydeard Hill, Staple Plain and at Ramscombe that are large enough for a horse box if you are travelling.
