A gorgeous misty morning checking on the Exmoor pony herd at Cothelstone
There is something about being up on Cothelstone Hill in the early morning that makes the soul happy! I’m up here checking on the Exmoor pony herd, I call them the hairy lawnmowers because they graze on the grasses and plants we want to keep short, and leave the plant species we want to conserve. They are looking fat, happy and relaxed as they enjoy their breakfast this morning. It can’t be a bad life munching whilst enjoying the 360 degree views of the Somerset countryside as the ravens cronk overhead. A pretty good start to the week I’d say….
