Glorious weather brought many visitors out onto the hills at the weekend.
Most hilltop roads were open but Lydeard Hill car park still remained inaccessible due to lingering snow drifts just above Birches Corner. Quantock Rangers maintained a high profile and managed to talk to many of the visitors who were taking the opportunity to enjoy this very special area of Somerset’s countryside.
A number of enthusiastic groups were doing training for the annual Dartmoor Ten Tors challenge, whilst others were simply admiring the views, striding out along the ridge, walking their dogs, riding their bikes and even flying kites! All good to see.
